The Phytoponymy in the state of São Paulo

Abstract

We will present data and linguistic analysis of phytoponymy from the State of São Paulo. The theoretical foundation is based on the interdisciplinarity typical of toponymy (study of place names) with ecology as a basis. The methodology starts from the selection of data from the IBGE database. To analyze this data, we use categories to provide us with a linguistic analysis. Then, based on an ecological analysis, we learned about the possibility of using phytotoponyms to guide reforestation and restoration plans environmental.
